Ophelia’s Jump offers a variety of workshops and classes for both adults and younger performers!
Our Educational programs’ focus is formative rather than performative with the overall goal of engendering a well-rounded knowledge and love for theatre in a supportive, enriching, and fun environment. Since this is theatre, the learning journey will end in a culminating performance in which the participants will get to apply their learning.
Ophelia’s Jump is a non-profit company. All tuition and fees go towards paying teachers, royalties, and other direct production costs. Please help us to keep tuition as low as possible and to provide need-based scholarships by making a tax-deductible contribution today.

This summer, we’re staying safe and healthy by bringing our classes directly to your home!
All classes this summer will be taught via Zoom. Students will receive instructions on joining the class via e-mail upon enrollment. Students must be able to access wifi and download the Zoom client to their home computer.
INTRO TO IMPROV
Monday’s • 7 – 8:30 pm PST • June 1 – July 6 • $150
Explore the fundamentals of improvisation! Whether you’re an actor looking to sharpen some skills, or just someone who wants to build some confidence and take risks – improv is for everybody!
SHAKESPEAREAN SCENE STUDY: TWELFTH NIGHT
Thursdays • 7 – 8:30 pm PST • June 4 – July 23 • $199
This class is designed to let actors drop right into studying and performing Shakespeare for a modern audience by analyzing, reading, and playing with a selected work. For this session, we will be focusing on “Twelfth Night.” This class is recommended for those who have had some prior experience with Shakespeare’s work, but is still open to everyone willing to jump in and explore!

Our weekly drop-ins are back! Each class will focus on a different topic, and is open to any and all skill levels! If you currently have a Drop-In Bundle – your drop-ins are free! No prior enrollment is necessary. Participants will be given a link to donate upon joining the class. BRUSH BULK UP YOUR SHAKESPEARE
Sundays • 11 am – 12:30 pm PST • June 7 – July 26 • $199
This class is designed for actors interested in Shakespeare’s work to learn and practice skills for performance. Through selected monologues and scenes, students will familiarize themselves with the language and find confidence in auditioning for and acting in these works. This is recommended for anyone relatively new to Shakespeare!
Sundays • 1 pm – 2:30 pm PST • June 7 – July 26 • $199
This class demystifies the skills and hacks used to improvise a scene (or even a full length play) in the style of Shakespeare! Exercises in genre work, language games, and strong emotional play will unlock the bard inside you!

Our Shakespeare Camp is back and streamlined for the internet! Campers will learn all about William Shakespeare, his work, and how to perform it! This class is broken up into two instructional periods a day (Monday, Wednesday, & Friday). The first hour will be interactive learning sessions, and the second hour (after a short break) will be a mixture of rehearsal, filming, and guest masterclasses in theatre arts such as Makeup, Costuming, and Tech. The campers will work toward filming a short Shakespearean adaptation via Zoom which will be “debuted” and distributed via private links on the last day of class.
