OJP INTERNSHIPS
The OJP Internship program provides paid internships for people interested in exploring a career in the performing arts.
As a nonprofit theatre company with a mission that seeks to support and promote artists and arts workers from under-represented backgrounds, we encourage applicants from community colleges, artists of color, women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, people from disadvantaged economic backgrounds, and people with disabilities to apply!
Ophelia’s Jump Academic Year Internship program offers college students the opportunity to gain experience in production and administrative elements of a professional theatre company while working under the supervision of professional artists, administrators, and marketing professionals. These internships run from September through May for full academic year internships or from September to December and January to May for semester long internships.
Interviews for Academic Year Internships are held in August each year. Interviews will be held in person or via Zoom. If you would like to book an interview, please follow the instructions below and submit to our submissions page.
Ophelia’s Jump Productions Summer internship program offers college and high school students the opportunity to gain experience with the production, and administrative elements of a professional theatre company while working on our Midsummer Shakespeare Festival repertory productions.
Interviews for internships will take place from March 28th-31st by appointment only. Interviews will be held in person or via Zoom. If you would like to book an interview, please follow the instructions below to submit using our submissions page.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply please submit your resumé and cover letter to our submissions page using the button above.
Your resumé should list your academic experience, any relevant work-related or educational theatre experience, any awards, and any special skills.
In your cover letter please tell us why you are interested in interning for Ophelia’s Jump Productions, whether you have a particular area of interest in theatre, whether you are applying for an Academic Year Internship or a Summer Internship and what you would like to gain through this internship. Please also share any information you’d like to give us about your background.
The best applications will be those who provide the specific information listed above rather than a generic cover letter. Take some time to learn about our company and to think about why you’d like to spend time working and learning with us.
If you experience any problems with the submission process or have any questions, please contact us at info@opheliasjump.org.
